Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
Guidelines Applied in Practice (GAP) Project

In partnership with the Michigan Peer Review Organization and the American College of Cardiology, the AMI/GAP Project is working to reduce the unwanted variation associated with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) treatment for Genesee & Saginaw Counties residents so that, ultimately, decreases in morbidity and mortality may occur. The goals of this project are to have implemented best practice guidelines in the acute phase AMI care in Genesee & Saginaw Counties, to have shown significant change in compliance of the guidelines for AMI, and to have shown a decrease in morbidity and mortality in AMI.
